Paul started gymnastics when he was 6 years old and moved on to Karate when he was 8, which he continued into adulthood. He has studied various forms of martial arts, including Kung Fu and Akido. Paul has also been acting on the stage since the age of 6 which lead to his first professional role as an actor on Neighbours at 16.
To incorporate his two passions, acting and fighting, Paul trained with the Australian Fight Directors Association working on stage fighting and sword work for plays. Paul has also been a member of the Australian Army for the last 4 years and was training with the special forces. Paul has worked as a high ropes course director in the US, has completed 5 freefall skydives and now works as a fitness instructor. Paul obtained his SAP grading November 2008.
