SZUMAI ANDERSON

Szumai’s ambition to become involved in stunt work began at a young age when she first discovered the early Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton slap stick comedy films. She set about training in a variety of stunt areas and commenced working in the film and television industry in 1975. Since then, Szumai has gone on to become one of Australia’s most experienced female stunt performers.
Known throughout the stunt industry for her various range of skills and abilities, Szumai continues to maintain a high standard through continual participation in a variety of courses including driver and rider training. This has served her in good stead on the several car and TAC commercials in which she has appeared, as well as work on productions such as Halifax fp, Blue Heelers, Neighbours. With her slim build and height of 5’3”, when it comes to men, women and children Szumai is a versatile stunt double, and has appeared on many of Australia’s most popular children’s programs including Pirate Islands, The Legacy of the Silver Shadow, Thunderstone, Ocean Girl, Round the Twist, Henderson Kids and Kelly. Other credits include: Ghostrider (US), Queen of the Damned, ‘Til Human Voices Wake Us, Noah’s Ark, State Coroner, Blue Heelers, Seachange and Stingers as well as many TVCs.
